Charleston, SC (PRWEB) September 26, 2014

The Watertown Free Public Library(WFPL) now offers free access to BiblioBoard to all patrons. BiblioBoard is an easy-to-use platform that allows the WFPL to offer the librarys localized content to patrons digitally, via an intuitive interface similar to the experience many people have on a daily basis using other consumer products. To start, the WFPL has created digital exhibits showcasing high school yearbooks.

Mitchell Davis, founder and Chief Business Officer of BiblioLabs, believes this is a great opportunity for the Watertown Free Public Library to enhance patrons reading and learning experience. BiblioBoard gives the Watertown Free Public Library a competitive edge by capturing the attention of patrons in a fast-moving digital world.

The current collection features Watertown High Schools yearbook, The Annual, in its entirety from various years between 1925 and 1958. Patrons can enjoy exploring the antique books in a digital format and possibly find themselves or loved ones in the pages. Highlights from The Annual include everything from photos of the high schools marching band in a 1955 parade to advertisements from beloved local businesses such as one for a prom dress from Mary Burns formal boutique for only $ 19.95.

Collections including local history files from Watertown are in the works as well. The library encourages patrons to learn how things have changed over time and what has stayed the same in the town through these digital exhibits. The WFPL plans on diversifying their content by adding more collections of photos and documents from their local history files. We have so many things well continue to digitize such as annual reports, photographs, newspapers and much more. Were hoping to also add self-published books by local authors such as Hugh Howey, adds library representative Sara Wiedeman.

Users can access BiblioBoard through the librarys website (watertownlib.org) or synch with the device of their choice, including the iPad
